Korean Drama: The Heirs Episode 20 Finale Summary and Review

First of all, Happy Holidays! Talk about being late. This is over the board late than any reviews you may find out there. HAHAHA Too bad, I still have to make it to just end The Heirs series. Nobody tells me to but who cares anyway.

And so, they were given the blessing by Kim Tan's father. However, the chairman fell into a coma. This opened the opportunity for the chairwoman to use her power to transfer the company to her name. The brothers, Won and Tan along with Secretary Yoon, joined forces to stop the motion to transfer the ownership to the chairwoman.
They were successful after sacrificing their time and energy in going to the International clients that the company had. His English is very limited and it shows that he is trying to keep his Korean accent as discrete as possible.

Later in the episode, the chairman went into surgery and woke up. As soon as he saw the chairwoman, he told her that he will divorce her and will finally remove her from the family registry. Eun Sang is seen giving a book to the ill chairman and telling him to read it while he recovers.

Won may have kept his position in the company but he lost the woman he loves. Hyo Joo decided to end their relationship after hearing the news of Won's engagement to the daughter of a chaebol. He was heartbroken and asked Tan to stay instead of going to America as their deal. He said it is lonley if Tan is not there. Won is then seen breaking down at the chairman's library.

Everything seemed to be back in place. Between Young Do and Tan, well, thier friendship has already ended long ago and hopefully it will not be worse. Their past issues have been fixed by several confessions and apologies by both parties. Tan and Rachel no longer talks to each other and Young Do is now looking after her ex-sister. Hyo Shin went to the mandatory army service without anybody knowing even his parents. Tan rushed to the train station to bid him farewell and good luck.

Eun Sang and her mother moved out of the mansion and lived in thier old place. Ahjumma still works for Madam Han but she no longer lives there. They think it is better for the kids. Tan told Eun Sang about what he dreams of in the future. In his future is a busy Chan Young and Bo Na, the charming film producer Hyo Shin, and the best friends Ahjumma and Madam Han. He then walks up to his room where he finds Eun Sang waiting for him in a lovely white dress. They looked at each other and kissed. That was what he dreams of.

They then reminisced about the trials they went through and how they struggled to achieve what they have now. They then walked in a snowy day and that ends it... ---CREDITS and farewell-----------

Here is a video behind the scene of the last episode and the last scene where you would see Lee Min Ho thanking the production team for all the effort.
Somehow I am disappointed with how the series ended. It was first a battle ground but then the knot was suddenly loosened. It was dragging as hell then it hastened maybe because they did not have time to further discuss the business points of the drama. And when the story focuses on the business, Eun Sang is no where to be found. It was fun though because of the cast.If not for the leads the story would have been  boring.

    1. Me too.. :) I use the online streaming at Gooddrama.net. The site has a lot of Asian dramas (old and new) and they are English subbed already and the best part is that it is free.

    1. You are right on that. The ending actually reminds me of the finale of Mary Me Mary, Moo Gyul and Mae Ri never really got married instead they just agreed to be together as a couple. At least, everything went well. The same for Kim Tan and Eun Sang, all their efforts to save relationship paid off and we can see both of them happy in the end.
