Korean Drama: Pretty Boy Episode 13-15 Compressed Summary

Here I am again, a compressed summary for episodes 13-15.

As much as I would love to make a detailed recap for each episode, time and again, I keep telling myself to write when I have the opportunity. But sadly, it is becoming more difficult for me to write a review these days.

Here goes nothing. Episodes 13-15 of Pretty Boy.

Episode 13 - Kwi Ji who was once a brat has grown up and denied all her illegal rights to the public. Yoo Ra is setting up a plot to destroy Na Hong Ran by publishing an online novel similar to Na Hong Ran's doing.  Ma Te Became the CEO for SS group after he changed Kwi Ji's attitude. Prosecutor Lee Kim resigned from her position because of a threat coming from Na Hong Ran Bo Tong moved back to her mom's place. Na Hong Ran discovered that her son is really Ma Te after Yoo Ra told her about the novel published online. This information was even confirmed by the chairman. Ma Te was the last to know of this valuable information.

Episode 14 - And so, Ma Te found out that Na Hong Ran is his real mother and that he was not a son of the chairman, which he believed all his life. The ironic part is that, instead of Na Hong Ran saying sorry for abandoning Ma Te when he was a baby, she is abandoning him once again without even feeling sorry for it. Little did they know that Yeo Mim has recorded their conversation. She is the 7th woman that Ma Te has to deal with. Bo Tong confides Ma Te after she learned that he is Na Hong Ran's son. Ma e is troubled by the recent revelations and it is evident even at work. So Bo Tong dragged him to the skating rink to distress and unwind. They had fun together and then as Ma Te looked at the ever so clumsy Bo Tong, there he realized that he really loves Bo Tong,

Episode 15 - Ma Te realized for the first time what love really is, and that was Bo Tong. On the previous episode, Yoo Ra told David that Bo Tong was the password and was shocked of the discovery. Bo Tong Company is slowly rising up and Ma Te modeled their outdoor gears. Ma Te and Bo Tong was supposed to have dinner but Bo Tong did not show up because she was abducted and locked in an abandoned theme park. David went to save her. AS Bo Tong was recovering, Ma Te was torn into pieces as he had to give up Bo Tong for her own safety. Just when he was already to give in to her, he had to give her up and he willingly surrenders Bo Tong to David.  Yoo Ra left Ma Te notes in Drop Top recalling their encounters and how Ma Te has grown up and she is happy now that she has protected Sool Ri. Sadly Ma Te only had one way to protect his love and that was to give up Bo Tong. This tears up Bo Tong's heart.

 I loved how things are wrapped up. It is in a rush but still on the right pace. In most of my post, I expressed how dragging the story line was, I still believed it was so dragging but then came the last 4 episodes where everything is being revealed, it is like an explosion of revelations. At first I did not get the purpose of having to meet 10 women, now I realized that without these women Ma Te would have remained the same obnoxious being from the start. He has grown up and changed and has learned to feel and be considerate towards the needs of people around him. It was a sudden shift of emotions that actually helped Dokgo Ma Te's character develop. I realized this late that the drama is not really focusing on the love story of Ma Te and Bo Tong but instead the love of a mother to a child. Wonderful twist and turn of events. Bo Tong was only a decoy and the main point of the drama is to show how strong and unbreakable the bond between mother and child is. I cried with the last episode, with how Na Hong Ran lost her shield when Ma Te apologized for his existence. SAD.......

Was supposed to include the summary of episode 16 but I decided to give credit to such a wonderful way to end the drama.  So, I will be making a separate summary for the finale, one of these days. HAHAHA
