I know this Drama is almost finished by now. I watched it as soon as it was aired but stopped somewhere in the middle because of other priorities, Modern Farmer. Hahaha I go for a not so serious type of drama.

The spikes appearing on Hong Bin's body is a symbol of his anger towards everything. He cannot find news about his lover who disappeared from him. He only discovered that his father sent her away and died after a few years when Chang was brought back to Korea. Chang was Hong Bin's child from his lover. Se Dong is an enthusiastic girl full of hope and very different from Hong Bin. They have know each other as an employee and a boss. The soon get closer since Se Dong is the only one that Chang talks to and listens to. She became his nanny while Hong Bin cannot get close to Chang at all.
I know that the series is almost ending and I have just created a page for it. It's late as always, I just started watching it over the weekend. The spikes and Hong Bin's anger is kind of unrealistic but it is one way to show what man can do when provoked. What am I saying? Does any of this makes sense? If you ask me he just needs some Anger Management Sessions and he will be okay. LOL

Korean Drama: Mama 2014
Mama is an SBS drama that occupied the slot of Hotel King. I am not at all familiar with the leads but because it is new, might as well have a go with it.
It is a story of how a single mother, Han Seung Hee, raised her son, Geu Roo. She is suffering from terminal cancer and has no relatives at all. With the little time she has to live (less than a year), she finds a legal guardian to look after her child once she dies and the best person to do that is the child's father who was also her ex lover. Unfortunately, the child's father already has a family of his own. But because of a series of events, Han Seung Hee became best friends first with her ex's wife, Ji Eun. This became a way for her to introduce her son to Ji Eun's family who will be Geu Roo's future family later.

Cast:
Song Yun-ah as Han Seung-hee
Hong Jong-hyun as Gu Ji-sub
Jung Joon-ho as Moon Tae-joo
Moon Jung-hee as Seo Ji-eun
Yoon Chan-young as Han Geu-roo
It is really hard to live alone especially if you have health issues and a child. This drama is a family oriented drama that can make you think of what you can do for your child regardless if you have a lot of time in the world or not. As a mother myself, all I want is for my child to feel loved and to have a bright future ahead of her. The same thing as Han Seung Hee. The sad thing about this drama is that her relationship as a mother to her son is not very good. They always fight about almost everything and she does not want Geu Roo to know her condition making him assume a lot of things.
As for the drama itself, its a little dragging and somehow tiring to see them hide emotions and feelings. I have a feeling that she won't die as she find a reason to fight her illness, Geu Roo and Koo Ji Sub. I hope Han Seun Hee and Ji Sub would develop in the end. The way he approaches her is really cute. I just don't want it to end sad.

It just basically show the reason why exe's cannot become friends again. It's something that can make you think of what you have done in your relationship. But I guess how they portrayed the relationship of exe's is unrealistic. It is very difficult to be friends with your ex. But I wonder what would become of our leads.

Japanese Movie: Rurouni Kenshin Live Action 2012 & 2014
I have always been a fan of Rurouni Kenshin ever since I was little. I can remember going home early just to watch RK in AXN everyday. It was the first anime I fell in love with. That time, it was English dubbed, Samuai X was the title then. Because of its popularity, AXN reaired the Japanese subbed version. From then on, we have been watching anime series that AXN airs which includes Ninku, Grandrer Musashi and Cooking Master Boy. Oh, those were the days. ^_^
Access to the Internet was so limited then, so the moment we had our own line, one of the torrent files I downloaded was this one. I watched the whole series several times especially before I got hooked to Korean drama.

Korean Drama: The Three Musketeers 2014
The Three Musketeers is Jung Yong Hwa's latest drama. I'm not really a big fan of Yong Hwa's acting. He seems lifeless as ever. Hopefully this drama will change his acting because of the action scenes.
Based on the original novel of the same title written by Alexandre Dumas, The Three Musketeers will be re-produced by setting Joseon dynasty as the background. It will put together the story of Prince So Hyun of Joseon dynasty from the 17th century with the story of The Three Musketeers, which sets 17th century France as the background. This three seasons drama is a fushion sageuk about the story of Park Dal Hyang and the Three Musketeers (Crown Prince So Hyun, Heo Seung Po, and Ahn Min Seo) who travel through China during the Joseon era. I am not very impressed with the first episode. Yong Hwa's facial expression is the same throughout the episode. I know he wants to look cool but it will not work in this drama. I'm not sure if this is a comedy, romance or action but it was at least entertaining.

Korean Drama: Fated to Love You Episode 17 Summary and Review
Alright, so we are now nearing the end of Mi Young and Gun's suffering. We all know that they will still end up together, but what they are going through to get there is too much.
I have never cried so hard while watching a drama episode, maybe for a movie but not a mere episode, my bad, make it two episodes: Episode 12 and 17. I was so anxious to watch episode 17 that I even watched the raw unsubbed version but I still cried, even more after the subs have been released.
Its been a while since I wrote an episode summary/review, so I will try my best to put important details into it. Like I said I will write one for dramas/episodes that I liked and loved. This one is on the top along with Episode 12.
Before we go to episode 17, let me just have a brief recap of what happened since episode 12. If you can remember in Episode 12, Gun decided to end their relationship without telling Mi Young the real reason behind it. This made Mi Young hate and avoid him even when they had to work together for the company. Episode 12 was probably the most important episode of the drama since it was then that we can see that Gun really loved her but does not want to hurt her when the time comes he die because of his disease. It's a selfish stupid thing to do and all throughout the following episodes we see both of them suffering and trying to sort out or hide their feelings for each other.

Korean Drama: Joseon Gunman 2014
I love historical dramas especially if it is Lee Jun Ki. I know he plot is serious for most period dramas but this way, you would see how good an actor/actress is. Not only that but you would also see how good looking they really are because of the simplicity of their make-up. Since it is Jun Ki, it is a must watch. LOL

Korean Drama: High School Love On 2014
The cast of High School Love On are teens. I can't believe that I'm actually watching it. I consider it a teeny-booper drama, not only because of the cast but also the story line.
It revolves about an angel (more like a grim reaper since she guides the souls of the dead) who became a human after saving a high school boy from an accident. After she became human, she named herself Lee Seul-Bi and ended up living with the boy she saved. Although she lost he black book (book of the dead), she still has her powers but feels weak after using it.

Revised romanization: Haiseukool - Reobeuon

Nam Woo Hyun as Shin Woo Hyun
Lee Sung Yeol as Hwang Sung Yeol
Lee Joo Shil as Kong Mal Sook
Choi Soo Rin as Ahn Ji Hye
Jung Jae Soon
One thing that made me stay with this series are the actors themselves. Yes they are young but, they are good. More importantly, good looking teens. Hahaha They are the next generation of actors. Too bad the drama is only once a week, I wish it would be twice a week.
Watching it makes me feel like a teenager again. The kids have such innocence which makes you want to see them more. Kim Sae Ron's acting is good for a 13-year old girl. Nicely done.

Korean Drama: Fated to Love You 2014
Oh well, I have been on a long break of watching new Korean Dramas. One reason for the break was I have pile of dramas that I haven't seen yet and since I don't like the recent lineup of new dramas for the past two months, I took that opportunity to watch those good dramas.
But now I am back and the first drama I watched was Fated to Love You. This is about Kim Mi-Young (Jang Na-Ra), an ordinary office girl, who meets a successor of a big company Lee Gun (Jang Hyuk) and accidentally sleeps together. Little did they now that the one night they spent actually created a new life and now Kim Mi-Young is carrying the child of the Lee Gun.

Release Date: July 2, 2014 --
Runtime: Wednesdays & Thursdays 21:55
Language: Korean
Country: South Korea
Cast:
Jang Hyuk as Lee Gun
Jang Na-ra as Kim Mi-young
Choi Jin-hyuk as Daniel
Wang Ji-won as Kang Se-ra
At first I watched it because I thought that the male lead is Kim Jae Wok. Jang Hyuk looks like Jae Wok in this hairstyle but only more manly and masculine. Well anyway, I realized it was not Jae Wok as i researched a bit but found Choi Jin Hyuk as one of the cast instead. The presence of a familiar face would surely make me stay with the drama and it was Jang Hyuk and Choi Jin Hyuk this time.
So far, for the leads they were great and an excellent pair too. They looked good together. Opposites do attract and the attraction is even stronger. I kind of like the first episode. It was fun and Jang Hyuk is so ___, you know. ^^I just don't like his arrogant smile. Jang Na Ra is also good and looks good with glasses. I wonder what will become of them after their stay in Macau and said that they will never see each other again. Hmm.. of course they will, they are fated to meet as what the title of the drama obviously pints out. DUH!
Drama: Fated To Love You

Jang Geun Suk and many other Hotties plan to enlist in military service this year
As we all know, all Korean men have to serve the military
between 18-35 years old. A lot of Hallyu stars are planning to enlist in military
service this year. One of the rumored actors to enlist is Jang Geun Suk.
We cannot deny that at the age of 26, Jang Geun Suk is at
the prime of his career. Most Korean men would enlist before they reach the age
of 30. At 26, Jang Geun Suk is at the perfect age for the military service. Oh
no! What to do if Jang Geun Suk will really serve the military. There won't be
anymore of him for the next 2 years. That would be tormenting. Unfortunately,
even if he does not enlist this year, sooner or later he will have to. Perhaps
it would be better for him to enlist early on so that his career would go
smooth after his service.
It is not only Jang Geun Suk who is rumored to serve the
military this year. Other Hallyu stars who are planning to enlist this year
includes Yoo Ah In, the genius pianist in Secret Love Affair. He will just finish
the drama before he will enlist. Inspiring Generation's Kim Hyun Joong plans to
enlist in October.
Kim Soo Hyun of You Who Came From The Stars already went
through the first stage of admission which is the physical examination.
However, there is no definite time as to when he would serve the military. Choi
Jin Hyuk of Emergency Couple also passed the exams for military service but
will serve the police first before he enlists. Park Yoo Chun who stars in the
current drama Three Days has asthma so he is a reserved member and will serve
as a public service worker.
Fortunately, 26 year old Lee Min Ho has no plans yet to
serve the military yet. Taecyeon of Wonderful Days plans to serve in 2016. That
means that we still have some hotties left if all those mentioned above would
really enlist this year.
Although these are just rumors, the drama world would be
quite affected if all of them would serve in the same year. There are still a
lot of hotties left to *munch* on, Lee Hong Ki, Jung Yong Hwa, Kim Woo Bin, Joo Won, Yoon Shi Yoon and
many others. Let's not forget those who just returned from the service Kim Jae
Wook and those who are coming back after a year Song Joon Ki and Yoo Seung Ho.
Let's see what the service had made them.

Korean Drama: Secret Love Affair 2014
Who doesn't love a storyline that revolves around a cheating husband or a cheating wife? I do not know anyone who dislike such dramas. These are the type of programs or series where we, as viewers can relate to and the whenever the lead characters do their cheating acts, who doesn't react? I know I can't stop myself from squealing of anger or annoyance. A new Korean drama, Secret Love Affair, would surely make you want to slap the characters on screen. ^_^
The series is about a 40 year old planning director, Oh Hye Won, who had an affair with a 20 year old piano major student, Lee Sun Jae. Hye Won is an elegant and classy woman who has an image to protect as her job deals with a lot of people. Given that Lee Sun Jae is in his 20's, he has strong feelings towards her. The title of the drama says it all. See how their secret love affair would remain a secret to the people around them including Sun Jae's piano mentor which is Hye Won's husband.

I am watching this drama not because of the actors. I honestly do not know any of the actors of the series except for Chancellor Min, who was Lawyer Jang in The Man from the stars. ^_^ The title caught my attention as well as the plot since it involves piano and music. I have heard great music scores from the first few episodes plus Yoo Ah In (Lee Sun Jae) plays the piano well.
UPDATE: HA! When I said that I do not know the actors here, I take it back. As I was doing a little research, I found out that Yoo Ah In was in Sungkyunkwan Scandal. He played the character of Moon Jae Shin. In fact, Moon Jae Shin was my favorite character in that drama because he was so cool. Hope Yoo Ah In can pull this one.

South Korean Ferry tragedy leads to the cancellation of TV shows in major TV networks
Just an overview of the recent tragedy in South Korea. One of South Korea's most heartbreaking tragedy of all time.
Death toll increases to more than 100 after a week since Sewol, South Korean ferry, capsized and sank off Jindo Island in the morning of April 16, 2014. Sadly most of its passengers are high school students as they were going to Jeju Island for a school field trip. Out of 400+ passengers on board, roughly half of them were rescued, many were students.
Survivors said that they heard a loud bang before the ship tilted and the command they heard from the deck was to stay on board. Many followed the order and unfortunately they were the one's who were not rescued and sank together with the ship. Rescuers are still doing their best to find survivors but because of extreme water temperature and it is almost a week since the incident, chances of finding survivors are less and the rescue is now on a search and retrieval operation. Parents of the children are anxiously waiting to get news from the rescue operations.

J-Drama: Bitter Blood 2014
You read it right, it's Japanese. I still love Korean Dramas and will always watch it. This time I am watching a Japanese drama only because of Takeru Sato. Although, I have also watched other J-drama before but that was a long long time ago, Kimi wa petto and Princess Princess. I'd rather watch Japanese Anime than their drama because of the animated way that the actors act.
Since it's Takeru Sato, I'll give it a shot. I loved him in Rurouni Kenshin Live Action Film. I am excited to watch the second movie. It was after watching RK that I discovered that he was also portrayed one of the characters of Princess Princess Live Drama. He looked so gay then.
Sahara Natsuki (Takeru Sato) is a new detective at the Ginza Police Station. Unfortunately, he had to work with his father who abandoned them and had a another family. He does not like his father at all. They are very different since his father is playboy while he is not so good with the ladies. See if this father-son partnership would last.

As expected of a J-Drama, their expressions are a little exaggerated, just like what you see in anime except that they are real people doing such expressions. The animated acting makes it more fun to watch. First episode show how different the father and the son are. Both show how they disliked each other and their ideas clash. Sahara Natsuki is a very righteous person, one that will not leave things the way it should be which lead him to cause trouble on his first day of duty.

Korean Drama: Hotel King 2014
Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae is together again in this new Korean Drama, Hotel King. It has been 9 years since they starred together in 2005's My Girl which was a big hit during that time. Their tandem as a couple then looked cute, hopefully, since they have aged and matured it would be romantic.Hotel King is a story about Cha Jae Won (Lee Dong Wook) who seeks revenge against the owner of Korea's top hotel, which is his biological father, after he was abandoned when he was a child. As he was plotting his revenge as the hotel's manager he came to love the heiress of the Hotel Ciel, Ah Mo Ne (Lee Da Hae). Unfortunately, his revenge would include destroying what Ah Mo Ne is trying to protect. Jae Won has to decide if he wish to continue his revenge or not.

Korean Drama: 3 Days / Three Days 2014
We are now entering into a new week for the drama land in SBS TV network. This means a new drama for us to watch and enjoy.
3 Days, starring Park Yoo Chun, is the new action drama on SBS Wednesday-Thursday slot. First episode was aired last night, March 5, 2014, and so far so good. Yoo Chun on the first episode. Drama and action is already there.
The
South Korean President travels to a villa to enjoy his vacation. After
three gunshots are fired, he disappears. His bodyguard Han Tae-Kyung
(Park Yoo-Chun) attempts to find the President. (Source: AsianWiki)
Drama: 3 Days / Three Days
Revised romanization: Sseurideizeu
Hangul: 쓰리데이즈
Director: Shin Kyung-Soo
Writer: Kim Eun-Hee
Network: SBS
Episodes: 16
Release Date: March 5 - April 24, 2014
Runtime: Wed. & Thu. 21:55
Language: Korean
Country: South Korea
Cast:
Park Yoochun as Han Tae-kyung
Son Hyun-joo as Lee Dong-hwi, President of South Korea
Park Ha-sun as Yoon Bo-won, police constable
So Yi-hyun as Lee Cha-young, SWAT team agent
Choi Won-young as Kim Do-jin
Yoon Je-moon as Shin Kyu-jin, chief presidential secretary
Jang Hyun-sung as Ham Bong-su, chief of the Presidential Security Service
First episode is a blast. Although i want to see Yoo Chun smile, not even once did he smile in the whole first episode. Would this mean that there won't be any funny moment in this drama? How I love to see him laugh and smile. I hope it is not a very serious one. Missing You still had some funny scenes, this one I hope so too.
It's kind of difficult now since Kim Hyun Joong's Inspiring Generation is on KBS2 on the same timeslot. Although, I watch the dramas a day after it was aired, still it is becoming more difficult to see all these equally wonderful dramas in one day. I only have at most 2 hours in a day to watch dramas. huhu and every week the number of dramas I watch are increasing.. HELP! ^_^ So writing a summary of each drama episode is totally impossible for me now.. LOL
Oh well, Enjoy!

Korean Drama: You Who Came From Another Star Episode 21 Finale
And so, we are in the stage where we have to say goodbye, at
least for Do Min Joon and Cheon Song Yi.
Well, just a brief summary. As expected, Do Min Joon really
left. Although, Cheon Song Yi already know that he is leaving, but she was not expecting
him to leave so soon. They were in the balcony wishing on the meteors. He was
telling her what to do when he is gone (never wear clothes that expose too much
skin since it is cold, no kiss or back hug scenes and no melodrama, she should
not cry or be hurt alone while he is gone, and never to find which star he went
to because he will be the one looking out for her everyday) and both were
crying but Cheon Song Yi did not face him. She asked how she cannot do what he
wants her to do. Do Min Joon did not answer back and when she turned, he was
gone. saddest part of the drama ever!!! She was not able to say her farewell.
This is one of the dramas that totally broke my heart. I'm
crying I as I am writing this. AHHHH!!! It has long been part of my list of
favorite dramas of all times and will always be one of the top favorites. The
drama keeps you laughing every episode and also makes you cry as hard as you
laughed.

Korean Drama: Bride of the Century 2014
I just discovered this drama. I am watching it because of Hong Ki. LOL I haven't really had any previews or reviews
on this new drama. I just saw this drama just uploaded in Gooddrama and
when I saw it was Hong Ki, it immediately caught my attention. LOL
The Taeyang Corporation is the largest conglomerate in South Korea. The family that runs Taeyang has been under a curse for 100 years. The curse began when the first bride of the family's first son died. Under this situation, a love like fairy tale occurs while conspiracies run rampant. See AsianWiki
Drama: Bride of the Century (literal title)
Revised romanization: Baeknyeonui Shinboo
Hangul: 백년의 신부
Director: Yun Sang-Ho
Writer: Baek Young-Sook
Network: CSTV
Episodes: 20
Release Date: February 22 - April 27, 2014
Runtime: Saturdays & Sundays 20:00
Language: Korean
Country: South Korea
Cast
Yang Jin Sung as Na Doo Rim (25) / Jang Yi Kyung (25)
Lee Hong Ki as Choi Kang Joo (29)
The only drama I saw with Hong Ki on it is with You're beautiful. He was funny then. I did see him on the reality show We Got Married, where he was paired with Fuji Mina, a Japanese actress. He was also funny but a little cold towards Mina. But I was touched when he made a stage in the parking area his farewell performance to Mina. It was so sweet.
Going back to this drama, I see he dyed his hair black again. I am used to seeing him with blonde hair. He looks more handsome with black hair. He sings really well and I am guessing the drama's OST will probably come from his band, FT Island and I know it's going to be a hit, for the OST alone. Let's see. ^_^
